What is ANIBES

The development of the ANIBES scientific study involves determining the anthropometric data, macronutrients and micronutrients intake, as well as the practice of physical activity, socioeconomic data and lifestyles of the population for the first time in a study in Spain.

The data from this research have been calculated according to different food groups and subgroups in order to have a more real vision on the basis of the wide variety of food products currently available in the market, which enables to know data on the intake of several foods according to different age groups, gender and socioeconomic level, as well as the practice of physical activity.

It is also the first time that a research with these characteristics uses innovative tools (such as tablet devices for foods and beverages recording, and accelerometers to validate and evaluate the level of physical activity) to get accurate information on the topic covered by the study.
